Our Prayer Team meets on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. Participants can bring their lunch and stay after the prayers to eat together.
Pastor Jamie will be leading an adult education class after our worship services. The class will be a study of Luther's Small Catechism using the "By Heart" course. Please talk to Pastor Jamie about buying the book if interested.

PLAY MUSIC ON THE PORCH DAY
Our Play Music on the Porch Day was a big success! Great music was shared and enjoyed by all and $1859 was raised to help those affected by the wildfires in Hawaii. That amount was matched by Thrivent for a total of $2788 going to Lutheran Disaster Response for the wildfires in Hawaii.
2023
Our 2023 Hunger Walk/Run Team
Despite the cold and stormy weather forecast, nine of our Daily Bread team members participated in the Atlanta walk / run and had a blast. Thanks to Pastor Bonnie & Dave Lanyi, The Dennis family, Lois Waldmann and my wife Joan Larsen for strolling with me through the streets of Atlanta. Team members who couldn’t make the trip are planning a local sunny day walk in the weeks to come. Thanks to the members of our church family as well as the many friends and family members for their generous donations. In all, we received $2,775 in donations and $500 in matching corporate donations for a total of $3,275. We also thank the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Inspiritus (Formerly Lutheran Services of Georgia) and Good Shepherd Daily Bread Ministry for the lasting partnership that has given so much to those most in need in our community. And lastly we thank God who makes all things possible. ………Don Larsen
All GA Youth Gathering
Abby, Alison, and Ethan joined youth groups from across Georgia at Camp Grace for the All-Georgia Youth Gathering. Here the youth got to explore the theme, "What is Agape?", and discuss God's love for us, our love for ourselves, and our mission to love one another. Participants also got to forge new relationships, make new experiences, and worship alongside each other as we got to hear from Christian hip hop artists Dave "Agape" Sherer and Joe Davis.

Some photos of the fellowship and card making event held after the service on July 24th. Our new member, Bonnie Garrett, shared her card making skills and organized a wonderful event to make cards for those served by our Daily Bread Ministry. Beautiful cards were made and good food was enjoyed! Thank you Bonnie for sharing your talents and hospitality with us.
